MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
December 23, 2009 by Neville · Leave a Comment
Well the Christmas Season is definitely here. Have been out for a drive today? Car’s and people everywhere. I just saw a P plater getting hot under the collar because an L plater was waiting for the lights to go green, who knows maybe his money is burning a hole in his pocket and he need’s to spend.
I have one more shoot to do before the end of this fantastic year, all down to my incredibly good looking and wonderful clients, who have kept me wanting to give them the best I can and then some. I have thoroughly enjoyed this year and am now looking forward to some great weddings booked for the next, which is going to bigger and better. As I have just taken delivery of my new van, which over the break is going to be converted into my mobile production unit. I will now be able to carry all the equipment to carry out jobs on location that in some cases could only be carried out in the studio. Computer, backdrops, light’s, ladder’s, reflector’s and all the other things that go together to create the best images my clients expect, so who knows your wedding could turn into a Hollywood production.
Two more images from Leanne’s and Daniel’s pregnancy shoot, below.
This is a BIG THANK YOU to all the people who have trusted me with their memories, Merry Christmas. Nev.

I have said this before but. I love my clients, they are the best.
ANOTHER DAY IN THE YEAR OF FARRAH
December 16, 2009 by Neville · Leave a Comment
I popped down to Terrigal beach late yesterday afternoon to photograph Farrah, Martin and Candice, for another day in Farrah’s first year. It was a little windy, a lot cooler, my kind of weather, but we had half an hour of some fun. Farrah is pulling a lot more faces now and I cant wait to see how she grows and changes. This project is turning out to be so much fun.

I’m slowly managing to get through Heath and Nicky’s edit and, I’ve noticed there are quite a few logging on to have a look. So here is part two. As you can see there was plenty of colour and romance, hope you like them.

HEATH AND NICKY PART 1

Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Heath and Nicky. Under a blue clear sky at Kantara House with intense vibrant colour everywhere you look, I could not help but shoot some great images. So for those hanging out for a look here are a few images to be going on with. The flowers were supplied by my friends up at Gindurra Bridal Park, Flowers by the Feather Rose and, the bridesmaids dresses by Bridesmaids Boutique.

STRAIGHT FROM THE CAMERA IS NOT PROFESSIONAL.

Ok all you budding photogs here is number one in a series of Before and After images I’m going to use as basic examples.
Since the beginning of photography, finishing has been in existence. It used to be carried out in the dark-room on glass negatives all in the achievement of perfection, today we use the computer and a whole pile of software.
Why am I telling you this? Because I strongly believe that an image is not professional unless it is FINISHED and, I’m not talking about trying to fix a bad image, I’m talking about FINISHING. Simple steps to make a great image perfect and professional.
Finishing is what makes the difference between a professional and an amateur, it’s how we add value.
Before, Emma a beautiful bride, a lovely image.

After, stunning.

Before, Kristyn full of laugh’s.

After, Full of sparkle.

I RETURN

Hello folks, sorry for the long absence but I have been busy. There’s plenty of editing, that never seems to finish, then albums to design plus these two shoots. One for the Trophies company, I shoot their catalog three times a year and now this new one for their corporate section. They wanted something a little more special, rather than clean shadowless light, so I went with the spotlight effect. I used one strobe fitted with barn doors and a honeycomb, a good clean look. Then there was the shoot for Sam at Vibrant Concepts, she’s having an online shop and is branching off into her own line of cosmetics. Plenty of fun.
