When I first started making pictures on a more serious level I used to shoot nearly everything in black and white, then have prints made and go and see the photographer at Aberdare County Council in South Wales who would help in giving me advice. Brian Jordan would point out things that I didn’t see, or understand what I was doing, it was a huge help. So for my new portfolio I’m putting together, I thought I would go back to where it all began. Black and White. You can dodge and burn to your hearts content to make the print you really want. As most of my photography is about emotion, Im not so interested in the detail, its the feeling I’m after more than anything else.

Saturday was the very special day for Michael and Kailey who were married at Noonaweena, one of my all time favourite places. On the way there the weather was not looking good, there seemed to be a storm rolling in and it did rain but only while everybody was getting ready. Then as it was about to kick off, out came the sun, and it remained that way all afternoon, giving me the opportunity to create some great images for two fantastic people, who I must say were really nervous before the event. So a big hug to Michael and Kailey for giving me the privilege of photographing their day, and a big thank you to all of the staff at Noonaweena who made so perfect.

Well as promised here are a few images from Rod and Keira’s big day. As you can see we all had a great time, but I still think the lads watch too much TV:) but I didn’t mind as it made for some fun shot’s.

I was the lucky photographer who photographed Rod and Keira’s wedding yesterday. It was an awesome beautiful day, with a great couple and the best family. So here, until I can start and do my edit are three images just to wet your appetite.

Every now and then you get the fantastic opportunity to photograph a really nice wedding, this was one of them. Eric and Colette were married in an incredible location Undercliff Winery Wollombi with the most wonderful light I could ever have hoped for. So thank you guys for giving me the best time. One of the best things for me was that, as Colette is Welsh, you know like me, some of her family flew over from Port Talbot to celebrate, so every now and then I kind of felt like I was back home. Colette’s dad Gary was in need of a good pint so that he could relax as, like all good welsh dads with their daughters was holding it in and feeling very proud. But it was Eric’s mam who had the tear. Below are just a few images from the day.
