while it’s been winter and cold, with clear skies, you know that boring blue stuff. i have been teaching myself new skills so that i can give my clients images that they will fall in love with. here’s two i have re-worked from a fashion shoot a few months back.

a couple of months ago i had to do a job for design print australia, to photograph the staff members of travers bushfire and ecology, well thats been printed and delivered now so i can now show you one of the images. it’s a simple straight portrait, but even this type of work, if handled with care and talent can be captured as a work of art. this one is of andrew the project manager. so if your business is looking for a photographer that will go the extra mile to create an image that shows you business cares about itself and so cares about it’s clients, then give me a call or drop me a line about your next project. i guarantee to improve your image.

i photographed this last year for a new project that didn’t happen. so now i suppose i can show you what it was, as i was asked not to show or mention it to anyone. i still wont but it involved fishing. apparently this is one expensive reel.

On nearly every job I do, someone will ask me. What else do I photograph? well here’s a few of those things. Corporate head shots for companies that want to stand out from the crowd, like Travers bushfire and ecology, a new online home wares company who know how to show their products in the best possible light, buildings, cosmetics, bathroom fixture companies, tourist parks and interior designers, these are just to name a few. Now that I have finished my edit, here’s a few more images from the expo, all but one of these images were captured through the main door of Noonaweena looking out to an incredible view. Enjoy.

It was one busy weekend this last Saturday and Sunday, I had the pleasure of once again attending Noonaweena’s Boutique Bridal Expo. As far as bridal expo’s go this for me is one of the best, it’s not so busy that you cant speak to people, and the staff at Noonaweena are the best. This year I wasn’t asked if  I would shoot some pictures as they had enough from the shoot I did last year for them, but Rosemary, the designer of Tea Rose asked if I would shoot some pictures for her and, I wasn’t going to say no. Rosemary’s dresses this year reminded me of watercolour paintings, they were fluid with no borders, edges, I loved that. I loved the way they flowed and moved and I wanted to capture that, they complimented the models figures and not overpowering them, in other words they wore the dresses and not the dresses wearing them.

Delivered the results of last Friday’s location studio shoot yesterday for, The Essential Detail Australia and very happy they were too. After getting the light right, especially for the sideboard the shoot went really well. It was important to get the grain to pop out and give it a tactile look but maintain all the detail. These are just three images from the shoot.

If your a regular reader of this blog you may of remembered I shot some pictures for Poppy Events a few weeks ago at Magenta Shores. Well Kelly of  Annabella Creations emailed me these boards they have put together, they will be sent out to all their prospective clients. I love it when I see how my work is used.

Finished the shoot for Stephen Cutler of The Law Firm this week. They are in the process of upgrading their look and needed new fresh imagery to make it happen. I have been doing work for Stephen for about 15 years now, he was one of the first clients I picked up when I started selling my work door to door so to speak. He was also the solicitor I used to help me through the contract on the gallery. This image was lit with two speedlights an SB900 and a SB600 into brollys, camera was on Aperture Priority using Nikons CLS (Creative Lighting System), so that I could light the faces and use the ambient light coming from the window and lights in the room. Making the image bright and cheerful.
